Creative Dispute Resolution • Tough Litigation
Wendy J. Ashby is a powerful attorney and a skilled and empathetic mediator. She has been licensed to practice law in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey since 1992, and she focuses her practice in areas that go directly to the core of her client's well-being; family law, elder law, estate planning, estate administration and probate.
Wendy comes to the table with the experience, skill, and tenacity to protect her client's interests. A cornerstone of her practice is her responsiveness to the client's needs. Wendy listens carefully to each client's objectives and is unflinchingly honest about the prospects of her clients' cases. With that, she exercises her creativity and wisdom to bring about workable solutions. Wendy makes it a priority to return all phone calls as soon as possible.
While working for the State of NJ, Wendy consulted for the Superior Court, implementing a more effective court case management system for Mercer County. This experience working for the State, in combination with her twenty-plus years of private practice, has given her a unique and powerful insight into the legal system and how it can work best for her clients. As a mediator, in both estate and domestic matters, she uses her skills and insight to craft more successful resolutions to legal disputes than can be achieved through litigation alone.
In great demand as a seasoned elder law and estate attorney, Wendy is often invited to speak at various locations about the importance of long term care planning, estate planning, estate administration/probate, asset protection and many other topics surrounding legal issues.
Active in the community, Wendy is a founding member of the Lehigh Valley Senior Services Council, is a member of the Bucks County Estate Planning Council, is a court-appointed mediator for Bucks County foreclosures, is a member of the Upper Milford Township Parks and Recreation Commission and the Upper Milford Township Open Space Committee and has been invited to join the St. Luke’s Hospital Development Committee. Wendy also volunteers her time as a coordinator for the Wills for Heroes event, providing free Wills, Powers of Attorney and Advanced Directives for Veterans and first responders.
